Warden Team

One set of rules on every developer's laptop - company rules nobody can loosen, shared skills, an AI gateway, seats and roles, and backup of plans and specs.

The Developer edition is free and complete for one person. Warden Team is for when a company wants one place to set the rules, skills and model access for every developer. Everything else is identical: a Team developer's Warden is the same app, plus what syncs from the company.

What Team adds#

  • Company rules. A manager writes rules once, in the same rule format, and every developer's Warden enforces them. Developers can add their own rules on top, but can't turn the company's off, and company rules can't be waived by an exception.
  • Shared skills, kept in sync on every seat.
  • An AI gateway (optional), hosted by us or pointed at your own proxy: every seat is connected automatically, no provider keys sit on laptops, with per-seat budgets and allowed models.
  • Seats and roles, plus backup and sharing of the agent's plans and specs.
  • Priority support, an MSA your procurement team can review, and an optional hands-on rollout.

Team is priced per seat plus a one-time setup fee. Request a Team walkthrough on the Warden site.

For a manager#

Everyone on the team gets a portal login, as one of two roles:

RoleCan
ManagerAdd seats, choose roles, edit company rules and skills, set model access, browse projects, plans and specs
DeveloperBrowse projects, plans and specs, edit skills, view company rules (read-only)

A manager adds a developer by email and picks their role. The developer's licence is emailed to that address, and only works for that seat.

A company rule file
default: allow
rules:
  - deny: { touches: dotenv }
    id: company.no_env
reason: "Secrets stay out of agent context"
  - deny: "git push --force"
    id: company.no_force_push
    reason: "Never force-push"

For a developer#

  1. Install Warden as usual (see Install and first run).
  2. On the first screen, choose Join my team, enter your work email, and press Email me my licence.
  3. Paste the licence from the email. If your company manages model access, the AI gateway connects by itself.

Your company's rules appear in Policies, marked locked: Managed by your company and enforced for everyone - you can't turn these off. Add your own rules below. They refresh at start-up, every 30 minutes, and when you press Refresh from company. If you're offline, or your seat is removed, the last rules synced keep being enforced.

What Pluto holds#

Your rules, skills, plans and specs, and anything written in them. Never your repository. Rules and skills sync down to every laptop; plans and specs are backed up. Model traffic passes through Pluto only if your company uses our hosted AI gateway. Point the gateway at your own proxy and it never does.
